Arkay 100 Year Legacy

Arkay CEO Mitchell Kaneff narrates this poignant and memorable recounting of his family’s background, focusing in on the history of Arkay itself. Beginning at the turn of the century when Max Kaneff became a printing apprentice in Ukraine, it takes us to the origin of Arkay in a warehouse on Thames Street in New York City where Max opened Ar-Kay Printing in 1922.

The video then delves into the specifics of how Ar-Kay Printing grew, steadily and ambitiously, over the years, morphing into Arkay Packaging and moving its manufacturing facility from the Lower Eastside to Long Island, New York and then to the Roanoke Valley in Virginia. Each step of the way, care was taken to ensure Arkay’s longevity and success, helping to form and solidify its culture of high-end quality, customization, peerless customer service, and innovation, thus ensuring Arkay’s reputation as a producer of luxury packaging.

For Arkay’s Centennial in 2022 meetings were held to design a new logo based on the signature of Max Kaneff, which the video reveals, and so – with great pride – the video concludes on a note of reverence for the past and a powerful allegiance to the future ahead.
